Regional Account Manager – North West Territory
Our client is a market leading supplier of FMCG products used every day by consumers. This is an established, well renowned business viewed as a market leader in their prospective product category. Products are volume driven across a mix of brand and private-label, some of which is UK manufactured. Due to having a fantastic culture, the business has a track record of attracting high calibre people in recent years from a variety of FMCG organisations. They can demonstrate a track record of developing people through the business and have a number of longstanding employees. A key role has arisen for a Regional Account Manager to join the business covering a North West territory.
As a business our client sell into a number of key customer channels including retail, convenience, food service, contract catering and wholesale. Examples of leading customers for the business are Costa, Nando’s and Pizza Express. This role encompasses working on a Regional Account Manager level with a portfolio of key customers across contract catering, buying groups, food service and wholesalers. Some of which is managed through third party distributors. It’s a unique sell and requires an entrepreneurial approach from this person. The area is already well developed, you will inherit existing customer relationships whilst also being tasked with driving new business. You will need to be numerical, strategic and with the ability to work autonomously.
We are looking for pro-active candidates who can demonstrate a self-starter mentality.
In order to be considered for this Regional Account Manager opportunity you will need to have some regional sales management experience. We are seeking candidates that have a background in FMCG, this could be across food/drinks or a non-food product. This is a unique opportunity and we are open to candidates perhaps looking for a change of direction into a new category and customer channel. It would be beneficial to have sold into wholesale, food service or contract catering but certainly not essential.
