National Account Manager – non-food consumer goods – Lancashire

 

I am currently representing a market leading global non-food consumer goods supplier. The brand is very well renowned in its prospective category, a seasonal product used by consumers on a regular basis. The business is privately owned, family run with very strong history and heritage over a sustained period of time. The business is putting a lot of focus on fair-trade, acting responsibly and maintaining an ethical approach as a leader in the industry. Key customer channels include top 4 grocer, discounters, convenience and leading DIY retailers. Due to recent growth and ambitious plans for the future, our client is looking to add a National Account Manager to the existing commercial team.

 

As National Account Manager, you will be tasked with growing and developing business with major UK retailers. You will inherit a portfolio of retailers, these customers will be agreed depending on skill set and the needs of the business. This person will work closely with current head of sales to develop and nurture existing relationships. You will take a category led approach and need to work strategically depending on the customer.

 

We are searching for a Key or National Account Manager with experience of working in a non-food consumer goods category. Whilst product experience is not essential, it would be beneficial to have operated in a category such as garden, DIY, home or seasonal products for example.

Customer experience is very fluid, you must have held full P&L responsibility for major UK retailers.

This person must have a great attitude, be dynamic and commercially aware. Our client can offer a close-knit, open culture.
